Maria Agureeva works attracted the attention of the audience during the common exhibitions, but galleries, where she brought her project, carefully delayed her personal exhibition, being concerned about the expression of the works, closing to the bone.

Though Maria conscientiously doesn’t want to bind her works to the conception of Saint-Petersburg photoschool, trying to abstract away from given themes and aesthetic experience. The goals of a young photographer are lying in the sphere of color, but for four years Maria Agureeva has being tried to solve it with directly photography, avoiding additional editing, like the frame computer editing. Combining solid color, painting plasticity and photo creates the extraordinary effect. Organic matter put on a par with inorganic one, avoiding the emotion of pure decorativeness.

The main research is obviously lying in the sphere of philosophical awareness of the shape, despite of its photorealiztion. Solving the formal goals Agureeva uses real objects, and it’s not the abstraction in spite of some references to plastic sketches. The model doesn’t play any role – Maria paints fruits, plates, busts or men genitals with the same enthusiasm.

There is the view, which is principally important for author’ vision of modern photography. She says: “For me photography is the combination of shape, space, great color and provocation. It seems rabbit holes in your mind, whit help of which you can understand your secret wishes and possibilities”.
